| I am currently living in Los Angeles, CA, working as an artist for the world leader in motion picture restoration. I've worked on many classic films and several national treasures. Unfortunately I'm not permitted to list them, but If you keep your eyes open you're likely to see my name included in some legendary film credits. I was born in Vancouver, Canada in the1970's. Dad was the son of musicians. Grandma was a violinist in the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (as was her father). There, she met my grandfather Edward Allen Jamieson. He was a percussionist and conductor in the VSO, as well as the President of the Vancouver Musicians Union. Mom sparked, and encouraged my interst in art at an early age, and Dad had my brother Aaron and me playing football by age 5. I loved, and persued football with a vengeance. I was a captain and an all-star consistently throughout my 16 years career. I played Quarterback until I was 15, when I lead my team to win the provincial championship. I continued through high school (RHS) as tailback where I again competed, but lost a provincial championship. I then palyed semi-pro (for the Richmond Raiders) as tail back. Where again, I had the good fortune of competing in my third provincial championship. In my final season, I was awarded game MVP (with 3 touchdowns &183 yards rushing in one game) and received the running back of the year award. I started playing the Sax at age six,and throughout my school years, I participated in both the concert and (eventually) Jazz bands, as lead sax. I did my first public solo in fifth grade and was performing improvised solos by thirteen. I took private sax lessons with one time VSO musican Max Kushoner (from age 6) until I joined my first rock band at fifteen. I was the singer, Shad played guitar, his brother Shane played drums and we called ourselves Barely Legal. We started out playing parties, but it wasn't long before we were renting venus and making money. We became members of CAPAC (now SOCAN) in 1986, after our first visit to the recording studio (Magic Lab). As we plugged away, we got better and our following grew. Meanwhile, I was taking music composition courses, and teaching myself to play piano. By 1989 we'd found a stable crew (adding guitarist Trevor ) and had changing our name to Loaded Bone. We secured a manager, wrote and recorded 14 new songs, broke attendance records at some of the top clubs in town (Club Soda, Franks Place), sold 2000+ copies of our self titled album, and had 2 songs simulcast across Canada by the top rock station in town (99.3 the Fox). What was left to do but head to Hollywood - so we thought. In 1991 we packed our van and the [five] of us, (Ryan on bass) headed to Los Angeles. We played a few Gigs, and hooked up with a new manager who in turn, hooked us up with producer Dennis MacKay (David Bowie, Whitney Houston, Judas Priest) and sent me for my first vocal lessons with Elizabeth Sabine (Axle Rose). We went into pre-production with Dennis, and wrote 10 new songs. Of those, 5 were picked and we were offered a recording contract with 56 records, a subsidiary of Studio 56 (Guns & Roses (Use your elusion), Elvis (Jail-house rock) etc.) But, politics and the pressure of youth took their toll and everything soon fell apart. We split. Ryan & I went back to Vancouver. I kept writting, (maintained my producer and Manager) and began this pilgrimage to and from LA. The guys who stayed behind eventually signed to Warner/Chappell and became Cool for August. In 1998, along with my friend Michael Lazer (now @ Paramount mastering), I tried my hand at recording with other artists in Michaels home studio. I began a new round of vocal lessons with Seth Riggs' (Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand etc.) associate Torb Peterson, performed speratically with a friend's band Fabrick and tried a short lived reunion with the Shad Hills band, now Stereo 360*. On Halloween 1997 I met Anne, the love of my life and wife to be. We were married on the docks of Port Jefferson NY, in 2002. :) Throughout the years, I've continued my artistic endevours. Doing album covers, banners, murals, logos, painting instruments, and participating in art shows. In 1999 I did a storyboard for a Load Media music video. In summer 2002, I wrote the theme song [for], and scored an independent film. We spend our spare time camping, fishing, and traveling. |

| There are several new avi. (video in a window) files on the Animation page, complete with original music and sound FX. Created from some of my original art works, the process includes layering frames in Photoshop, adding those frames to a video program, editing and time coding the music and sound FX in Cubase VST, and then mixing the audio and video formats together into a cohesive production. The Audio page has been updated and includes some of my original compositions. Dating from 1990 to the present, this music was both written and produced by me. In the Gallery, you will find works ranging from line drawings, to sculptures and carvings, to digital airbrush illustrations. All images are original creations and span more than a decade. |
